One of my favorite parts about hosting the holidays at my house is how creative I get to be with my tablescapes. I love showing off my personality with layers of chargers and plates, using unique glassware or switching it up by adding a pops of color and using a elegant a table runner. I wanted to share some of the trends I am loving and give you some ideas for your own tablescapes this holiday season.
Design Trend 1: Classic + Chic
Features: Simple colors, cohesive feel, effortless chic
Color Scheme: White, Neutrals, Earth Tones
Pro Tip: Chunky candles and classic greenery will elevate the tablescape. Because your setting are simple and classic, feel free to spice up the table with thick bushels of greenery or even adding simple flower styled in bud vases.
Design Trend 2: Modern + Elegant
Features: Elegant glassware, simple color scheme, elevated style
Color Scheme: Gold Accents, Contrasting Colors (black or navy), White Space
Pro Tip: Style with simple flowers in clear vases and light greenery – keep the centerpieces simple to let the gold accents and contrasting colors shine. Different heights/mixed matched candlesticks will add elevated elegance.
Design Trend 3: Merry + Bright
Features: Bright colors, fun patterns, unique personality
Color Scheme: Bright, Contrasting Colors, White Accents, Fun Patterns
Pro Tip: I recommend starting with one piece (a table runner, chargers, unique glassware, etc) and building around that one piece. If your glassware is bright and unique, make your table runner simple to keep your space from feeling too crowded. I also recommend decorating with simple greenery (maybe eucalyptus branches down the center of the table with simple white candles) and keeping the flowers to a minimum to let your unique designs shine!
