My Baby Favorites

I was definitely that new mom who over-purchased a bunch of things, as a matter of fact… I think I probably still do for Olivia (she has way too many shoes for a 2 year old). But, when I was pregnant, I really over did it! I just wanted to make sure I prepared the nursery and our home for our new addition to the family. So, I read every book and listened to almost any one telling me what I needed. Now, as I give bags and boxes of Olivia’s stuff away to friends and charities, I realize there are really a few gadgets and products that I’ve loved using the past few years with her. So I thought I would share them Now, obviously we used ton of other products and things, but here were my favorites:

The Keekaroo:  This changing peanut is awesome! You honestly don’t need a changing table if you have this. I’ve used it on the floor, coffee table, sofa… anywhere I needed to change Olivia. It’s also super easy to clean with a quick wipe and it’s soft for the baby. Trust me, you’ll love it.  Mine didn’t have a strap… just an FYI.
keekarooMagic Bullet: I still use this thing every single day and we own a fancy Vitamix. It comes in handy making smoothies, pancakes and puree. It’s much easier to clean than a blender, especially if you are only making small batches.

WaterWipes: I found them to be the best wipes I have tried. Olivia never had a diaper rash.

Speaking of rashes….

Calendula Cream: Olivia did have baby acne and this stuff was AWESOME at treating it.. I even use it on my own face sometimes!

Swaddles: No matter how well I swaddled Olivia (And I watched the Happiest Baby on the Block 3 times), Olivia would find a way to get out of it. She was a magician! This swaddle worked super well..

And so did this kind….

Dr. Brown’s Bottles: We tried them all (and I mean ALL) and loved these the most.

Rock-n-Play Sleeper: When Olivia was just a few months old, she would only nap for about 20 minutes every few hours. I once mentioned that to a friend and she recommended this sleeper and boy did it work!! Thank you, Rock-n-Play for giving me some time to get things done (Like shave my legs)

Boon High Chair: There are soooo many options out there, but I love ours because you can easily adjust to be the height of the dining table or bar counter with a press of a button. Plus, it’s about the easiest thing to clean and has a removable tray.

Travel Stroller: Now, this is a bit of an investment but BOY IS IT AWESOME! First off, it’s small enough to be considered a carry on. It actually fits in the overhead compartment, so no need to check the stroller at the gate. It also reclines and it’s super lightweight. We use this all of the time.

The Nose Frida: I don’t want to gross you out, but you will basically be sucking snot out of your kids nose. I know that sounds disgusting, but it really isn’t. This thing is amazing. Just last week, Olivia was sick and the Frida cleared her right out. Also, when I say you’ll be sucking the snot out… know that you’ll never really get it in your mouth. There is a filter and a long tube. In the 2 years I’ve been using this thing… I have never even come close to getting mocos (that’s how we say snots in this Cuban house) in my mouth. You have to just trust me on this one.
