Challenge: Weekly Clean-Outs

January 29, 2020

We are there. That post-celebrating-back-into-life winter slump. New years resolutions are starting to slip and the buzz of the new year is fading into the background. But, there is a way to fight this dreaded time! In this four-week challenge, we are going to do some clean-outs that will set you up for success for the rest of 2020!

Below you will find a calendar with a weekly clean-out schedule. This is to help get you centered, motivated and to get you ready for spring cleaning while decluttering your life and helping you reset. I recommend following the calendar, not skipping ahead and checking off each day as you go. There’s nothing quite like physically checking things off of your to-do list!

Week One: The Cabinet Clean-Out

We are all guilty of shoving the Tupperware into cabinet, not taking the time to actually stack it properly and then next thing you know, you’re afraid to open that cabinet for fear of everything falling out. It happens. But this is the time to reset. Week one I start with the cabinets – kitchen + bathroom. You will do one cabinet at a time and on the calendar, you’ll see it is broken down into specifics as to which one to tackle. This way you don’t have to feel overwhelmed with getting everything done at once.

Pro Tip: Print out the schedule and hang it on the fridge. Grab a marker and cross those days off as you accomplish tasks.

Week Two: The Technology Clean-Out

We spend so much time using technology that our digital spaces can get messy too (I currently have three browsers with at least 12 tabs open on each at the moment). So this week is all about getting your digital space clean and organized. From your inbox to your social media feed, this week is the hardest. But trust me, it’s worth it. Release anything that is not longer serving you, clean out space and get ready to feel lighter.

Week Three: The Random Spaces Clean-Out

When was the last time you cleaned out your freezer? Ugh… I’m not going to answer that because it’s been far too long. That is why it is on this calendar this week. It’s all about the little things that you might overlook, but aren’t part of a full-on spring clean (don’t worry, I will be sharing my spring cleaning routine with you soon). This clean-out is all about giving some love to space that are sometimes overlooked.

Week Four: The Mindset Clean-Out

You made it to the final week! Yay!! This clean-out is my favorite: The Mindset Clean-Out. This week is all about releasing negativity, spreading good vibes and cleaning out your mindset to help you get back to a state of love. I use the practices on the calendar almost every day but broke them down for you into little actionable items, so it’s not too overwhelming. Try them, and then take what you love, what makes you feel good, and keep using them to raise your vibration daily and to hopefully live a happier life. Gratitude is everything!

You made it to the end! Good job!!! That was a doozy, but don’t you feel so good?! I love using this time to reset and get rid of things that I don’t need to make more space and time for the things I want to welcome into my life. Share your journey with me on Instagram- @Sabrina_Soto – and use #SSCleanOut! I can’t wait to see you crush this challenge!

I used my @amazon Echo Show 15 to add snacks to my shopping list and find new recipes to try out. #ad The backyard is our happy place and watching a movie under the stars is my favorite way to spend a summer evening. My @amazonfiretv Stick 4K Max makes it possible to watch movies and shows from anywhere! I am beyond proud to be Olivia’s mom. I say this I am beyond proud to be Olivia’s mom. I say this constantly, but she’s not a normal 6 year old (if you’ve spent any time with her, you’d agree). She teaches me something new about life on a daily basis and I take no credit for what a beautiful soul she is. She came into this world that way.

Her comedic timing always keeps me laughing (the other day she told me I needed a time out, right at the perfect moment).

Right now, I’m in a hotel room in Pittsburgh… wishing tomorrow was spent enjoying time with my family. Being a working mom is sometimes difficult and lonely but I’m grateful that she makes me feel like it’s Mother’s Day every single day.

Happy Mother’s Day! ❤️
I am so honored to team up with @KeterOfficial for I am so honored to team up with @KeterOfficial for #KeterGreenSpaces: the first of many projects that aim to beautify our communities and create a greener future for the next generation. To kick things off, we dropped into my hometown of Miami this week to build a brand new outdoor classroom for North Miami Elementary. In partnership with @EducationFundMiami to bring the project to life, the students now have access to functioning outdoor gardens, proper weather-proof storage, and relaxing communal spaces that foster an environment where learning and creativity can flourish.

Next up, creating and outdoor garden for us here at the house! 🍃 🍅

This season, I can’t believe how many oranges and lemons I have. It’s more than ever before!!! I’m sure there is a logical explanation for it, but the hippy in me wants to believe it’s because I came out of a mental funk last year.

That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
